Through the issuance of the Decree No. 70/2023 (the «DNU» for its acronym in Spanish) dated December 21, 2023, the National Executive Power (the «PEN» for its acronym in Spanish) introduced modifications to tourism.

In this regard, the PEN decided to repeal the following laws:

  • Law No. 18,829 (Travel Agencies). In force since 1970, it regulated the activity of travel agents.
  • Law No. 26,356 (Time-Shared Tourism System). In force since 2008, it regulated Time-Shared Tourism Systems (STTC).
